"Transformed. Now What?"

"Yes, we are the nation of progress, of individual freedom, of universal enfranchisement. Equality of rights is the cynosure of our union of States, the grand exemplar of the correlative equality of individuals; and while truth sheds its effulgence, we cannot retrograde, without dissolving the one and subverting the other. We must onward to the fulfillment of our mission -- to the entire development of the principle of our organization -- freedom of conscience, freedom of person, freedom of trade and business pursuits, universality of freedom and equality. This is our high destiny, and in nature's eternal, inevitable decree of cause and effect we must accomplish it.

John L. O'Sullivan on Manifest Destiny, 1839

Yes, that would be one way of looking at things.

Cause and effect is a wonderful concept, and works quite well when dealing with apples, agendas and perhaps even Nations. And would probably work really well with human dynamics if the equation of exchange held the symbol of equality as being essential to the key expressions. Maybe in comparing apples to gravity, our friend Newton gave us cause and effect, but not necessarily equality.
Perhaps he left those considerations to his private investigations of Alchemy.
I can only speculate. And do. Often.

But I can't help but wonder that if we are awash in the brilliant effulgence of truth: and if that truth is intended to Enlighten our way, and blah blah blah blah blah. That's just me yakking out of a contrived belief system. Which, like cause and effect works well enough on most days. But well enough is just a beginning. See, I think we are so much more than we believe and so much less than we think. I intuit that the ancient light of stars cross in each of our cells and create us again and again. Transformation is a constant. It is altogether complete in each moment and then incomplete in the process of living. Any destiny we own is the trajectory of this process. And if we have any input into its
creation and course, then we better get cracking.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

I'm with Willoree. You talk - I listen. And then I think "It stung me!"

For goodness sake, how many years does transformation take? And how do you know when you're there?

@Jane,
We are beginning to think that we are always there. Always. Transformation, then becomes a method of recognition. A recognition of place. Maybe transformation is understanding without the weight of understanding. From "Deciphering the Cosmic Number":
It was time for atomic physics to move on from trying to visualize everything in images relating to the world in which we live."
Let's try that for a while.
